Nesting takes place in winter and a couple of Emu remain together for about five months. As a rule, females start laying eggs at 2-3 years of age. One female is able to lay 60 eggs per year, but the average number of eggs in one clutch is 25-30. Chicks and birds can make good decorative photos.
